What's this?
The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) sets global safety standards for fragrance ingredients used in consumer products.
All RAW Aromachem fragrance oils are formulated in compliance with the latest IFRA guidelines, ensuring they are safe for use in candles, perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics.
Ask any perfumer what they dilute with and the answer is almost always the same: DPG. It is the industry-standard carrier for a reason.
What is DPG used for?
Dipropylene Glycol is a low-odour, colourless solvent used to dilute and disperse fragrance concentrates. It thins thick aroma materials, standardises fragrance strength, and carries scent evenly in reed diffusers, incense dipping, room sprays and cosmetic bases.
Why do formulators prefer it?
It is nearly odourless, so it does not interfere with the fragrance itself. It is stable, mixes cleanly with most aroma chemicals, and is far safer to handle than many alternatives.
Note: DPG is a solvent and diluent, not a fixative. For longevity, pair it with a dedicated fixative.
