Eucalyptus Essential Oil is steam-distilled from the fresh leaves of the Tasmanian blue gum, Eucalyptus globulus (Myrtaceae), native to Australia and cultivated on a huge scale in China, Spain, Portugal and India. It is the classic "eucalyptus" oil, defined by its very high 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) content.

Aroma: fresh, strong and penetrating - a clean camphoraceous-medicinal character with a cool, slightly sweet and woody-balsamic undertone. The unmistakable smell of chest rubs and steam inhalations.

Uses: the leading oil for clearing and respiratory aromatherapy - diffusion and adult steam inhalation during cold season - and the classic active in chest rubs and balms. Widely used in antiseptic soaps, natural household cleaners and room sprays, and as a sharp fresh-medicinal accent in fougere and aromatic perfumery.
