What's this?
The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) sets global safety standards for fragrance ingredients used in consumer products.
All RAW Aromachem fragrance oils are formulated in compliance with the latest IFRA guidelines, ensuring they are safe for use in candles, perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics.
Almost every modern designer fragrance has this molecule doing structural work underneath it. Most buyers have never smelled it on its own.
What does Iso E Super smell like?
Smooth, dry, woody-amber with cedar-like facets and a velvety, transparent texture. Aspects of ambergris, vetiver and patchouli sit underneath. Unlike natural woods, it is weightless - it enhances rather than dominates.
Why do perfumers call it the ghost ingredient?
It creates radiance rather than a defined smell. Around 20% of people are partially anosmic to it, which is why some wearers cannot detect it while everyone around them can.
Where is it used?
Woody, floral, oriental and chypre compositions. It works as a fixative, a backbone and a floralizer - effective from 5% to 20% in a blend.
