Lavandin Grosso Essential Oil is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula × intermedia 'Grosso' (Lamiaceae), a hardy hybrid of true lavender (L. angustifolia) and spike lavender (L. latifolia) grown on the Provence plateaux of France and in Spain and India. Grosso is the highest-yielding lavandin cultivar and the world's most produced lavender-type oil.

Aroma: fresh, bold and herbaceous-floral lavender - sharper, more camphoraceous and more penetrating than true lavender, with a clean, slightly sweet-balsamic body. Less soft and sweet than L. angustifolia, but stronger and longer-lasting.

Uses: the industry-standard lavender note for soaps, detergents, candles, air fresheners and laundry products, and a staple of fougere and lavender perfumery where its strength and value are prized. In aromatherapy it is refreshing and clearing - good for diffusion and cleaning blends, though true lavender is preferred for gentle therapeutic use.

Warnings Generally safe when diluted; contains camphor and cineole so it is less suited than true lavender to infants, young children and sensitive therapeutic use. Possible linalool sensitisation if oxidised - keep fresh. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
