Lemon Essential Oil is cold-pressed (expressed) from the fresh peel of Citrus limon (Rutaceae) - the mechanical pressing of the zest captures the volatile oil without heat, preserving the true fresh-zest character.
Aroma: fresh, sharp and sparkling - the clean, sunny zest of freshly grated lemon peel, with a light sweet-green nuance. Bright and instantly recognisable.
Uses: a cornerstone top note of colognes, citrus-aromatic and fougere perfumery, and one of the most used oils in aromatherapy for its uplifting, clarifying, mood-brightening effect. Widely used in natural cleaning products, soaps, candles, diffusers and room sprays.

Safety: expressed lemon oil is phototoxic - respect IFRA limits in leave-on products and avoid sun exposure after skin use; keep the oil fresh and sealed (oxidised citrus oils can sensitise).
