Pink Pepper CO2 Extract is produced by supercritical carbon-dioxide extraction of the dried berries of Schinus terebinthifolius (Anacardiaceae), the Brazilian pepper tree - a plant unrelated to true black pepper (Piper nigrum). The gentle, solvent-free CO2 process extracts at low temperature, capturing the full, sparkling character of the fresh fruit that steam distillation partly loses.

Aroma: sparkling, fresh-spicy and peppery, opening with bright citrus-fruity notes that evolve into rosy-floral and green facets and settle on a warm, woody-resinous base. Elegant, modern and lively - far more nuanced than black pepper.

Uses: one of the defining notes of modern perfumery, used in the openings of countless contemporary masculine and feminine fragrances for a fresh, rosy, spicy lift. In aromatherapy it is energising and uplifting. Also used in premium soaps, candles, diffusers and room sprays.

  • Botanical name: Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi
  • Plant part / method: dried berries, supercritical CO2 extraction (SFE)
  • Key constituents: alpha-phellandrene, limonene, beta-myrcene, delta-3-carene, germacrene D, beta-caryophyllene
  • Note / family: top-to-heart - fresh spicy, rosy, woody
  • Blends well with: rose, geranium, bergamot, grapefruit, cardamom, black pepper, iris, cedarwood, vetiver, musk

Safety: generally well tolerated; keep fresh and dilute before skin use.

Available in 100gm, 500gm, 1kg & 5kg. 100% pure, undiluted essential oil - no carriers, no synthetics.
