Peppermint Essential Oil is steam-distilled from the flowering aerial parts of Mentha × piperita (Lamiaceae), a natural hybrid of water mint and spearmint, cultivated across India (Uttar Pradesh is the world's largest producer), the USA and Europe.

Aroma: intensely fresh, cool and minty - a powerful menthol character with a sweet-herbaceous, slightly camphoraceous body and a clean cooling finish. One of the most instantly recognisable natural aromas.

Uses: a star of aromatherapy for energy, focus, mental fatigue and tension headaches (inhalation and diffusion), the classic cooling note in muscle balms and massage blends, and the core flavour of oral-care products. In perfumery it adds a cold, sparkling freshness to fougere, aromatic and green compositions. Also used in soaps, candles and diffusers.
