Sweet Orange Essential Oil is cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus sinensis (Rutaceae) - produced in huge volumes as a by-product of the juice industry in Brazil, the USA and India, which makes it one of the most accessible and widely used natural citrus oils.

Aroma: sweet, fresh and juicy - the cheerful smell of a freshly peeled orange, bright and fruity with a soft, slightly waxy peel note. Warmer and sweeter than lemon or grapefruit; the "happiest" of the citrus oils.

Uses: a sweet citrus top note in perfumery (especially gourmand, floral-fruity and cologne styles), a classic uplifting and relaxing oil in aromatherapy diffusion, and - thanks to its very high limonene content - a natural degreasing agent in household cleaners. Widely used in soaps, candles and room sprays.
