Tangerine Essential Oil is cold-pressed from the peel of the tangerine, a sweeter, deeper-orange cultivar group of Citrus reticulata (Rutaceae). Botanically a close cousin of mandarin, it is typically harvested riper, giving a sweeter, more candied oil.

Aroma: sweet, bright and juicy - lighter, fresher and more candied than mandarin, with a soft fruity warmth and little of mandarin's floral undertone.

Uses: a sunny top note in citrus, fruity and gourmand perfumery and a gentle, cheering oil in aromatherapy - used for stress, low mood and (suitably diluted) in children's blends. Also used in skincare, soaps, candles, diffusers and room sprays.
